In the pictures above there are two popular cuban women, miss universe and Celia Cruz wearing women typical Dress of Cuba.  It's a elegant long dress, can be of many colors like white, red, green etc. with decorations like bands and strippes. In my opinion It's a beautiful dress.

Men Wear

  

This Man is wearing a Guayabera the national wear of cuban's men. Fresh and basic shirt designed for native people of this country and used for many years for cuban guajiros and after for all men of country. The Guayabera generally is in clear colors, the reason is the hot climate of the country, also it has buttoms in front and the sleeves can be short or large.

It's a important symbol for Cuban people, on July 1st is the Day of The Guayabera, in that date was born the cuban poet Juan Cristóbal Nápoles Fajardo, "El Cucalambé" (1829-1862), he was the first man who spoke about The Guayabera in their compositions:

" Oh guayabera! camisa de alegre botonadura. Cuarto bolsillos, frescura, de caña brava y de brisa. Fuiste guerra mambisa con más de un botón sangriento cuando el heroico alzamiento, y por eso la Bandera tiene algo de guayabera que viste al galán del viento.
